Schedule

MORNING SCHEDULE (6:45 am – 11:30 am)

• 6:45 - 8:45 Free play
• 8:45 – 9:00 Preparation for formal portion of day
• 9:00 – 11:30 Opening circle, Music, Art, Discovery (Math, science, literature/ Social Studies), Outside Play, and snack. All activities are designed for the appropriate developmental level of the children involved.

MID-DAY SCHEDULE (11:30 am – 2:00 p.m.)

• 11:30 - 12:00 – Outdoor/indoor time
• 12:00-12:30 - Lunch for all-day children. Half day children go home
• 12:30-2:00 - Nap/rest time

AFTERNOON SCHEDULE (2:00 pm – 5:45 pm)

• 2:00 – 3:30 – Art, music, literature, and discovery in addition to snack and outdoor play
• 3:30-3:45 - Closing Circle
• 3:45-5:45 - Free play indoors and outdoors

The children nap throughout much of the preschool area. Cots are set up in the music / creative movement room, the free play / discovery area and the art / snack area. Depending on the number of children napping, two to four teachers are assigned to watch over the children during their rest time.

As with our other activities, indoor and outdoor supervision depends on the number of children in attendance. It is our policy to maintain a teacher-staff/child ratio of no more than 1 to 10.
